3 Things To Consider When Finding The Best Places To Trick-Or-Treat
OnHalloween is just around the corner. You’ve picked out the perfect costumes, had makeup all ready, and knew exactly what to do with the hair. The last remaining detail is where to take the kids trick-or-treating. Here are a few things to consider when choosing the best spot.
Is It Walkable?
Even the cutest costumes can sometimes become uncomfortable. And little feet often tire more easily than adults’. Think about how long it will take you to walk to the trick-or-treating neighborhood, how long you’ll be there, and how long it will take to walk back. Make sure you and your kids can handle the mileage or consider a closer option.
Is It Safe?
Trick-or-treating these days is a lot different than when you were a kid. Check online sources to ensure the safety of the neighborhood you’re considering, or look up other nearby neighborhoods that may be safer for your little ones. If possible, take a drive around the potential neighborhood and see what you think. Although the kids are all about the candy, as a parent, we know safety is your number one priority.
Does It Have Halloween Spirit?
When reviewing neighborhoods for trick-or-treating, think about how many of the houses in that neighborhood handed out candy last year. You may even want to consider what kind and how much candy each house offered. If you find a neighborhood with lots of available houses, you’ll be more likely to only visit one neighborhood instead of driving all over town.
