Backyard BBQ: Steps To Starting Your Own BBQ Party
OnThe weather is getting nicer and it’s time to celebrate by throwing a good old-fashioned BBQ party. Feast on some delicious food and drinks and catch up with some family and friends. Here are a few basic steps to consider when planning a party of your own:
The Right Setting
You can’t have a BBQ party without having the perfect outdoor setting near your home. Obviously, this can be your backyard patio, but it can also be your front yard, rooftop, or even your local community center. And if you do have a backyard patio, be sure to upgrade it with some chic furniture for all of your guests to dine and relax. Be on the lookout for bad weather when scheduling your party -you wouldn’t want out-of-the-blue rain showers to ruin it!
Fire Up The Grill
Be sure to invest in a quality grill big enough food all the delicious food you’ll be cooking. Don’t forget to have other equipment as well: spatula, tongs, foil, charcoal, and a few others. And be sure that your tools are made from stainless steel. For your safety, be sure to have fire-resistant gloves, aprons, and a fire extinguisher as well.
Burgers For Your Buddies
There are endless options for the kinds of protein to grill: steaks, patties, ribs, chicken, fish, and many others. For a more vegetarian-inclusive BBQ, options like black bean patties, paneer, and vegetable kebabs will be just as delicious. To take some load off your shoulders, consider leaving your party guests with the responsibility of bringing side dishes like coleslaw, potato salad, rolls, fruits, and desserts. And for the drinks, have plenty of alcoholic and non-alcoholic choices available in an ice-cold cooler.
Setting The Tables
Lastly, don’t forget to have plates and utensils ready. To cut down on waste, aim for nondisposable plates and utensils that you can wash once the party’s over. If the size of your party makes that impossible, look for more biodegradable options whenever you can. Also, feel free to decorate with table covers, banners, and candles to set the mood.
